Frequently asked questions

Find clear answers to common questions about RCMP background checks, apostille authentication, mobile fingerprinting, and paperwork for AIMA or IRN.

How much does the complete service cost?

We provide an all-inclusive flat fee of €495. This covers your mobile fingerprinting session, secure courier delivery between Portugal and Canada, RCMP processing, and the official apostille certificate. No hidden fees or unexpected surcharges.

How long does the entire process take?

The end-to-end process typically takes around 7 weeks from the day we take your fingerprints to the moment your apostilled RCMP certificate is delivered to your hands.

What geographical areas do you cover?

We are based in Vila do Conde near Porto and provide mobile fingerprinting services across northern and central Portugal, covering everywhere from Coimbra all the way north to the border.

Are there extra travel fees outside your standard zone?

If you are located further south or outside our primary service perimeter, travel fees depend on the distance from Vila do Conde. We are always happy to discuss options or coordinate a convenient mutual meeting point.

Why do I need an apostilled RCMP check for Portugal?

Portuguese immigration authorities such as AIMA (formerly SEF) and the IRN require a certified criminal background check from your home country to process residency permits, citizenship applications, and long-term visas.

Do you offer certified translation services?

Yes. We offer certified Portuguese translations of your Canadian background check for €130, if notarial certification is required (we recommend it) the translation is €155, delivered with a quick 3-day turnaround time to keep your application moving smoothly.

How do you coordinate with Canada?

We have teamed up with an accredited partner in Canada to handle RCMP submission and official apostille authentication directly, ensuring your sensitive documents are tracked and processed efficiently.

What do I need to prepare for my fingerprinting appointment?

All you need to bring are two pieces of government-issued identification (including your Canadian passport) and your current contact information. We take care of all the specialized fingerprint forms and equipment.
